Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3 comes out for sale on Nov. 2. If you buy it the day it comes out or even that week it's usually less, at least at Walmart it is. I received a coupon for $8 off the Blue Ray combo pack. If you want it I can forward it to you. If you're a member of the church I already have your email address so just leave a comment, if not then I'll need your email address. If your kids like Toy Story as much as mine do then this is a pretty good deal. It also makes a really good Christmas present.

Toilet Paper/Paper Towel Rolls

Karns

I stopped at Karns in Hershey this morning and on my way out a worker was putting up a sign that said, "Free Mums". I think they were used as decorations around the entrance. They've seen better days for sure but the pots they're in are really big. Maybe the pots could be reused??

Does anyone have darts? The kind you throw?

We need some (3) darts for a booth at the ward carnival this weekend. Anyone have three darts they are willing to let us use and return afterward?

Festival of Trees #1

The Lebanon Expo Center Fairgrounds hosts the Festival of Trees with trees all over the property decorated for the holidays. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for youth and children younger than 12 are free. The event runs December 2-5. For details, visit lebexpo.com.

We've lost our Derry Township Fall Info Booklet, but were wondering about the details for this year's Halloween Parade. I couldn't find anything about it in their website.

We have several tikki torches if anyone would like them. Available after trick-or-treat night!

Halloween Storytime

Don't forget Halloween Storytime this week. Thursday at 1:30pm. There will be trick-or-treating.

Also, your kids can go to open gym at the rec center in costume on Thursday. Open gym is open on Mondays 11:30-12:30 and Thursdays 10:30-11:30. We went last week and all 3 kids had an absolute blast. It's $1 for members, $2 for Derry Township residents and $5 for others to join in. Parents do not have to pay. The first 20 are admitted so if you plan to go, go early!

Free Tomato Cages

We've got 7 tomato cages here for the taking if anyone would like them. If you want immediate use, you can string some white Christmas lights through them, drape a white sheet over them and have some ghosts for trick-or-treat night (saw it in Family Fun magazine). Then plant some tomatoes next spring. We had excellent tomatoes so I think they might be lucky cages.

Need good computer repair

So, I think our desktop got a virus. I've heard that there are a couple bad computer repair places around here, so I thought I'd ask if anyone knows of a good one? We have already backed up all of our files, so we won't lose anything too important. But, we want to get this taken care of ASAP. Thanks for any help.

Baby Food

I have a pretty good amount of baby food that we don't need anymore that I'll put in the mother's lounge tomorrow. Unless of course someone would like to claim it all- veggies, fruit, combos.

Pumpkin World

I stopped by Pumpkin World today on PA-39, and they're selling all their $2-5 pumpkins for 5 for $10 and their $6-10 pumpkins are 2 for $10.  This price may continue for the next couple of days depending on how it goes today.

Hi, we just moved into the ward recently. My name is Nicole Coulter, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone. I live just down the street from Jenn and Matt Kasich, the best neighbors ever. We are thrilled to live so close to members of the church. I have gotten to know Leah Bryan as well, as our daughters are in the same class at Derry Township.

I am originally from California, but have spent significant time in Utah, Nebraska, and most recently Kansas. My husband works at the medical center as a resident in psychiatry.

We have three children: Autumn (8), Devan (6) and Ashleigh (3)... I have been invited to join some friends in Alaska later this month for a volunteer opportunity, and I'm hoping to find temporary child care for Ashleigh.

Do you know anyone who cares for children in their home who might have a temporary opening? This would be from about 7:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.

Holiday Ornament Making Event

Splat Studio invites families and individuals to a Holiday Ornament Making Event.

Locating: Kettering Corner 104 W. Main Street, Annville
Saturday, November 13
Between 2-4pm

This is in conjunction with the "Festival of Trees" an annual community event. Ornament making for the "Festival of Trees" is free. Each family can make one free ornament for the studio tree. Families can pick up their ornament after the event December 2-5. Additional ornaments can be purchased for a make-and-take experience. There will be nice selection of family affordable and age appropriate ornaments to choose from. People ages 2-adult are welcome to join in this artful experience.
There will be free cookies and hot apple cider.
