Double stroller for sale

Graco DuoGlider Double stroller in Sterling - $85 (I bought it for over $175)

Hey all I just listed my double stroller on craigslist but thought I would list it here as well. Now that Liam is 5 he no longer wants to ride in a baby stroller so it is just taking up space in my garage that I could happily use. If anyone is interest please email me at nennypoulson@yahoo.com

Here are the specs:

I got this stroller in January of 2008 when Owen was born, but didn't really use it until about May. It was used more in the first year than in the last, and hasn't been used in 2010.
This stroller is in good condition. Average wear and tear. No holes, some wear, mostly to the front tray table, but you can always get a new one of these for cheap from Graco.
It's a silver and a baby blue color. Both the front and rear seats are compatible with SnugRide Infant Car Seat and Infant SafeSeat Car Seats, making this a great ride for infant siblings and twins, and each seat has a removable canopy. Both 2-position reclining seats provide maximum comfort, while the rear seat reclines flat for tuckered out toddlers. Each seat has a childs tray with cup/snack holders, and the back seat is elevated so everyone gets a good view. Stroller is equipped with an extra-large storage basket to allow you easily access the whole days gear, and the parent storage tray has one cup holder so you wont lose your car keys or spill one drop of that much-needed beverage. Last but not least, the DuoGlider Stroller folds with one hand, which is nice for parents whove already got their hands full.

GAP Flip-flops

If you are looking for flip-flops for your kids, there were some cute ones at the GAP outlet for $3.99 (both boys and girls).  They also had some cute fabric top women's flip-flops in red, blue, and black stripe pattern.  The price tag says $9.99, but they rang up for $6.99 (love it when that happens!).  Anyway, it's a good deal if you are trying to add to your summer wardrobe!

Mazda Protege

In case anyone is looking for a car, we are selling our 1998 Mazda Protege.  It's has192,000 miles on it, but it is in great condition and has been taken care of.  Also the air conditioning doesn't work, but it has power locks, CD player, and manual transmission.  We love the car, but it just doesn't make sense to take it cross country with us.  We listed it for $1500 on Craigslist, (click here for the listing and more detailed info) but would be willing to sell it for $1250 to someone we know.  It's a great little reliable commuter car and gets up to 37 mpg!  You can email me at amber(dot)brueseke(at)gmail(dot)com if you or anyone you know is interested.

Emergency Essentials Group Order for April

Some of the group order specials this month are freeze-dried broccoli ($10/can if 12 cans are purchased), mangos ($16/can if 6 cans purchased) and carrot dices ($7/can if 12 cans purchased). Diapers

If you buy diapers, this might be worth reading. I price compared a while back and thought I should compare again.

At Costco, Kirkland brand (Pampers diapers) will cost you 24 cents for a size 3 diaper and 30 cents for a size 5). Huggies will cost you .22 cents for a size 3 diaper and .28 cents for a size 5). Huggies is cheaper...but if you don't look carefully and price it out, you'll mistakenly think the Kirkland brand is cheaper because of they way they market the product. Great marketing, Costco!

Next door at Babies R Us, size 3 diapers range from .13 cents per diaper to .20 cents per diaper for Pampers. Size 5: .17 cents per diaper to .26 cents per diaper. Here's the news that's even better. If you join their rewards program, for every 4 boxes of diapers you purchase you'll get a free box. I bought Toys R Us brand for my little guy the last time I was there and I was plenty happy. In St. Louis I participated in diaper studies to make a few bucks and tested the name brands. These didn't seem any different to me.

P.S. If you look online at Toys R Us/Babies R Us, you'll see that for some of their diapers, if you buy two boxes you'll get a $10 gift card. I did not take that into consideration, which would obviously lower the cost even more.

Just got back from K-mart (the local one!) and in the main isle between the Pharmacy and the Candy isle (figured everyone knows these two places)... there is a bin/crate that has the freezie pops. They are on special for $2.29 for 24 in a red mesh bag. (there is a 2.00 rebate on the tag) hmm- $.29 + .44 postage- = .73 per bag . Summer is coming up. The only limit I can find - is 1 per envelope. Picked up a few. The rebate is good until 12/31/2011. Rebate company has processed several of my rebates over the past few years... seems quicker than most.

This Saturday evening at 6pm at the church, Joseph Hopkins will present a fireside about Eric Whitacre's special choir composition "When David Heard that Absalom was Slain." This amazing piece was inspired by just one verse in the Old Testament:

100 Miles for Kids

Hey Ladies,

You may or may not know but my husband is a runner. A crazy runner. Anyway, he and a friend are doing a 100 mile fund raising run to benefit the Child Life Department at the medical center.

To make this event a success we need volunteers. If you would like to help out with any of the following please leave a comment.

• Visit local businesses and ask them to hang posters

•Solicit specific donations from local businesses and follow up on those solicitations

•Call local newspapers, television, radio, and encourage them to tell our story (single call or call every week, etc)

•Contact municipalities they'll be running through from Philly to Hershey to tell them what we are doing and encourage their support

•Email regional runs and races (local 5k runs, half marathons, etc, etc) and ask them to put flyers in the goodie bags they give to their participants

•Contact high schools along the run route and see if track/cross country teams would be interested in fundraising for the cause and having their members run part of the route with us

•Send weekly faxes to local radio, tv, newspaper, etc, with press releases and updates to encourage them to report on us (fax machine provided)

General Conference Time Again

I know that I am a day late in posting this, but I really enjoyed the semi-annual General Conference sessions today for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I wanted to make sure that I posted a reminder at least for the (Easter) Sunday sessions. The sessions can be seen on the internet here from noon-2:00 and 4-6 EST. They can also be viewed on BUY TV as well.
