Baby Food
I recently saw that Dollar Tree in Middletown sells Gerber baby food 3 for .99 cents (medium sized glass jars). They have all the basics- green beans, peas, squash, sweet potatoes, etc. They also have a few fruit combinations and a few veggie combinations.
Pizza Hut Pizza
I just saw this deal in the redplum insert that comes in the mail. This deal is not a coupon. It says "Any pizza, any size, any crust, any toppings Just $10, $1 more for Stuffed Crust Pizza" Limited time offer.
Better Homes and Gardens
I got this thing in the mail with my own subscription for another subscription for $5 for a friend. Let me know if anyone wants it before I throw it away.

Help for Haiti
Many of us, including myself, check in on this blog regularly to see how we can stretch our dollars so that we can better provide for our needs (and wants :)
As I sometimes think that I "don't have enough money" for some of the things I would like, I was reminded of the people in Haiti who had so little to call their own before it was so tragically taken from them 2 weeks ago. I am instantly so grateful for my health and the health of my family and soo many other blessings that I do have. The biggest majority of us DO HAVE ENOUGH to provide the things we need . . . and even some extras.
In all this rambling, I just wanted to share with you a couple of blogs that are following a team of doctors and other staff members from the Hershey Medical Center that have gone down to Haiti this week to help out the best they can.
http://hmcinhaiti.blogspot.com/ that is run by the wife of one of the team members. (Thank you Pauline!) and http://www.operationsmile.org/haiti/ run by Operation Smile that has updates, and also has pictures.
Most of us are unable to give our time to go to Haiti to help, however the biggest need they have is funding for food, shelter, and medical supplies. If you are able to donate ANY AMOUNT, I would urge you to do so through an organization that will send 100% to the efforts in Haiti (there are several like the Red Cross and LDS.org). If you are not able to at this time, you can still help by remembering them in your prayers.

Donating to Haiti
In case you missed it yesterday in Church, the best way to donate to Haiti is to go to give.lds.org. I think right now what they need most is money in order to help the people of Haiti. I didn't really understand the extent of the damage until watching 60 minutes. If any of you saw it you know what I'm talking about. It literally brought tears to my eyes.
72-Hour Kits
I'm only posting this because I wished I had thought of this sooner... I don't know about you but I'm tired of rotating my 72 hour kits (I just realized as I'm re-doing them that the last time I updated was 3 years ago). I don't have time for it and it's an expense every six months. And no, we don't enjoy eating the stuff while watching General Conference (who does I want to know!!!!) so now I'm actually throwing everything into the garbage can.
So...I ordered a bunch of MRE meals from Emergency Essentials and a box of emergency packets of water from Costco.com. The meals will last for YEARS and YEARS- they're the meals the military eats. The water will last for 5 years. This means that I will not have to replace the water for 5 years and the meals for triple that amount of time. I put all the items in a gallon size milk container because it has a handle (I cut around the top 1/4 way from the top and put some thick tape around it to hold it together once everything is inside). You can get a lot to fit inside if you take the MRE meals out of the little boxes- it works very nicely.
P.S. Stucki family- thanks to you preparing our car is next on my agenda!

Preschool Registration
Just passing on some info for those who may be interested in putting their children in preschool next year. Jaedon has been going to Learning Express Nursery School (LENS) in Hummelstown this year, and has absolutely loved it. I think the teachers do a really good job as well. Their registration will be held on a Sunday, February 2, 2010 from 1-3 pm. Their age range is from 2 year olds to 4-5 year olds. If want some more information you are welcome to talk to me. Also the Wright's, Bradford's, and Poulson's could give you some info too. :)

Enfa-what?
Hey, so I got this weird formula sample in the mail that I don't want: 8 oz. Unflavored Enfagrow Premium Next Step Lipil by Enfamil. I've never heard of it, but it says it's for 10-36 month olds and goes on and on about how great it is for brain development, healthy growth and the immune system. It has a red label with some creepy cartoon kids on the front. Anyone want it? I'm sure it's...extremely delicious?

"Grandma" Clothes
My mom gave me quite a few of my Grandma's clothes after she passed away because I thought I'd make a quilt. I never got around to it and know I won't in the future. There are about 5 house dresses that are brand new (size M) and a few blouses (size 12P). She always looked nice but they are "Grandma style". Does anyone know anyone who could use them?
Yeast
Hi Ladies,
I'm so sick of buying little packets of yeast. I know there has to be a better way, and I figured you ladies would know about it. I keep forgetting to get a big bag of it that seems to be in every store out in Idaho and Utah. Where do you all get bulk yeast out here, or is it possible?
Thanks for your help!

Thanks, Kellie. You can call me too...801-360-9356.

Bags of Clothing!
Hi everyone,
The other day I found bags and bags of clothing on my doorstep (much to my surprise - for more details ask Misty Clements).
There is a bag full of 3T little girl clothing - mostly from Children's Place or the Gap. They look relatively new and like good clothing for the winter.
There is also several bags full of women's clothing. The pants are size 4-6. The shirts are generally from The Gap, Liz Claiborne, LLBean, etc. They are generally medium sizes and seem to work best for short waisted people (not long like me). Anyhow, there is a lot of good stuff - so if you are interested in looking at them - let me know. You can come here or I would be happy to drop off some of the clothing at your place.
COUPONS!
If you didn't get the Sunday paper today, there were 6 sets of coupon inserts (amazing!). There are also 4 of the "Double you $1" off coupons on the cover of the Giant ad that you can't get in the store copy. It's worth getting a copy or two extra if you did get the paper today :)
