It gave me the courage to use the Rite Aid in-ad coupon in combination with a MFR coupon this week. Here is the excerpt from a CSR:

"Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I have provided our CouponPolicy for future reference;
All coupons must have a valid expiration date. Manufacture coupons are limited to one an item. Rite Aid in-house coupons that begin with RC48 and RC49 in the barcodes can be used with a manufacturer's coupon. You can use a manufacturer's coupon with a Rite Aid coupon as long as the two combined do not exceed the amount of the item you are purchasing. Competitor's in-house coupons are not honored at any Rite Aid store. Some manufacturers coupons do not have a specific set price on them - it will be up to what the item costs or a certain dollar amount and must be written in by cashier. Internet coupons will only be accepted if they are printed from our website. No other coupons will be accepted when printed from any other website.Our policy does not prevent customers from using a BOGO coupon as a form of tender for items already on a BOGO sale.This is a Corporate Policy, so you may refer to this anytime you have anissue when using a coupon at any Rite Aid Store.

Heavy Duty Hangers

Hershey Freecycle

Many of you may know about this already, but there's a great Yahoo Group called Herhsey Freecycle. You can post anything you want to give away, and someone in the group can email you to pick it up. The only rule is that it has to be free. I've been a member for awhile and it's really fun. You can also post if you're looking for or need a specific item, everyone is very nice. I've gotten a few really great things and have been able to help out a few people, too.

I was at Jo-Ann's tonight looking for a couple of things and they have all their Christmas stuff on sale at 70% off and they had tons of way cute things left!! If you are looking to bulk up on your decorations for next year, this is the place to do it!

This is the true story of a 5-yr old Lititz girl, Hannah Garman, who
was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, a rare and incurable
brain tumor. She has been given 12 weeks to live and is currently in
her 7th week. She was going to be the flower girl at a wedding in
May, but was diagnosed a week after we asked her to be the flower
girl. This is especially sad because her mother died 2 yrs ago from
breast cancer.

Right now she has lost most of her motor skills. She is confined to
bed and cannot really do anything or play with the gifts she is
getting from people, but she LOVES getting cards - she has gotten so
many from people she does not know and just loves to have grandma
read about the people who send them and see their pictures and is so
proud of all her cards. Her room is just filled with cards.

When asked what she wants for Christmas she said she wants to see
how many Christmas cards she can get. Many people have passed this
wish along to their churches, prayer groups, friends and family.
There are school groups where children are making her cards. People
are including pictures so she can see who it is that is sending her
the card.

THANKS! Feel free to pass this along to your own prayer group,
church, school, etc. Let's see if we can have the cards coming in
big postal bags for her this Christmas, since it will be her last
holiday.


December 15. . . We just heard more accurate details about Hannah
through her grandmother, Mrs. Robert Garman. Hannah's father is
Darren Garman and she has 2 older siblings, ages 9 and 12.

Hannah does not yet know her diagnosis. She is 4 years old with a
birthday coming up in January. At this time, Hannah is able to kick
her legs, help pull herself up in bed, can put weight on one leg,
but is unable to put the other one down, sit in a wheel chair, can
open her own cards with a little help (she received 30 today), play
with play dough, color, and do crafts. She is unable to walk and her
head falls to one side.

The drain didn't work so they put a shunt in which has relieved her
of her headaches. Today was a good day for Hannah. She is going to
Hershey Hospital tomorrow to have a port put in.

Interesting history is that Hannah's mother had bone cancer at age
13. She had breast cancer while carrying Hannah and she was told
that Hannah would be abnormal. Instead Hannah has been a very
brilliant child.

I know the K-Mart double coupons has been blogged about, but I have to tell you the virtues of the great Luvs deal. If you buy 3 big boxes you get 5$ off your entire purchase. In the paper and in the mail there have been several 2$ off Luvs diaper coupons. They have been in the body of the paper, not in the adds. In the mail a mailer came around Monday or Tuesday before Thansgiving with a 2$ off Luvs coupon. These DOUBLE you get 4$ off per box. They also have 1$ off Luvs coupons peel off where you buy the diapers if you didn't save your paper/flyer ones. Still $15.32 for a box of diapers is a good deal.

Young Chefs Academy Event

Blanket Collection Reminder

I was just over at Mike Leonard's Plumbing office, dropping off blankets and their pile is quite sad. If you were thinking about adding to the pile, but haven't done it yet, they could really use your help. It's getting pretty cold and is supposed to be much colder this weekend, and there are many people without shelter these days.
If you turn down the little side road just before the RITE AID in Hershey, they are located just behind there.
