Just a couple silly deals I found at Giant:

If you buy 4 boxes of General Mills cereal you get $4.50 back. We had just finished a box of the new Honey Kix and my kids loved them. It was on sale 2/4.00 so you can get each box for under $1 (if you buy 4 of them). There are other GM cereals on sale, too. When I checked out a coupon printed for $1.50 off 3 boxes. I might go back and get more (.50 cents per box)!!!

Chex Mix, which is also a hit at my house, is on sale Buy One Get One Free. The original price is 1.99 and some bags have a .50cents off coupon. If you use your $1 off two bags from the Sunday paper with the doubled 50 cent coupon, you can get two bags for FREE.

Washer and Dryer

Ok, so I was just in Gymboree yesterday (bought the wrong size sweater and needed to switch out) and they told me on Friday, items from the Snowflake and Cupcake lines were going to $1.99. Other random things were too and so were some boys items. Great long sleeve shirts for the fall--the snowflake sweaters (sweaters...that retailed here for $24.99)!

On February 5th, their Baby Sale begins. And I'm hoping their Tulip line drops to 40%off....but not sure until next week. I'll keep everyone posted.

Target Clearance/Carters Super Duper Sale/Gymboree

Target has clothes (dwindling quickly) and tons of toys on clearance. The one at High Point Commons was better than the one at Paxton Town Center on Jonestown Road. Toddler boys sweat pants are a good deal.

Carters is having their Super Duper Sale. Lots of items are priced at $1.99, $3.99, and $5.99. Great footsie pajamas, outfits...great idea for baby gifts.

Gymboree (my beloved store) is still having their up to 60% off sale. They have darling yellow clog style shoes for $3.99 (regular $19.99), their cupcake line got marked down more, sweaters for boys for $8.99, DARLING Birthday Girl shirts for $6.99 and matching pants too!

I'm still just new at this couponing thing - but here are a few deals I found at Giant this week. I'm still not organized to tell you exactly where these coupons came from, but they have all been in the paper withing the last couple of weeks:

Circuit City Liquidating Merchandise

Another FYI.... Circuit City starting today is beginning the liquidation of all their merchandise in preparation of closing their doors. You have to go into the stores to shop, not online.

So we checked it out and things are only 30% and we didn't see any fabulous deals. We'll be sure to keep you posted as we hear of prices being slashed.

Old Navy Clearance additional 50% off

FYI... Old Navy's Clearance went an additional 50% off yesterday (1/16). If you have done any shopping in the past week at old Navy, GAP, or Gap Outlet, remember to go in with your receipt and get a 1 time price adjustment. For Gap Outlet, they offer a 1 time price adjustment when you present your original sales receipt within 7 days. For the GAP or GAP Kids, they give you 14 days to come in. I like to find things in the sizes I want and then go in and get the price adjusted. Happy shopping!

DeAnn McWhorter said that yesterday Target marked down all their clearance clothes an extra 30%. She said there is a TON Of cute stuff--she got cute shirts, pants, and dresses for her kids ranging from 60 cents to 3 dollars. Adult stuff is on sale too. If you're interested, you'll have to hurry, it clears out fast.

Free Music!!

So Don and I are suckers for free music as long as it is legal. Last week in the stack of coupons, Don pulled out a coupon add for Schick razors. At the bottom it mentioned that you could download a free song if you enter the code SCHICKROCKS08. Come to find out, you can download a free song everyday until June! If you have more than one computer in your grip - you can download a song on each computer and end up with several free songs everyday (leave it to a computer guy to figure that one out). They have a ton of musicians to choose from. Right now I am working on a new John Denver CD! Cheers!


One more thing. I am trying to get rid of a TinyLove baby playmat. The mat has music and lights you can turn on and off. It also has two bars that cross, making a dome from which to hang toys from. You can put the toys on or off the bars. They include a soft monkey, an elephant, a soft doggie rattle, a birdie, rings. Jaydon absolutely loved this toy when he was an infant. If you want it- let me know!

We have two TVs we don't want anymore: a 27 inch Akai brand Pure Flat (not a flat screen, it just means the screan isn't curved), silver color, has remote, bought it for Christmas in 2001 or 2; and a 13 inch RCA, silver color, has remote, not sure how old it is. On one of my friends blog, she stated she came across this great book website. With some good deals. Here is what she said about it:

Geoffrey Beene at Hershey Outlets

I stopped into the outlets yesterday and this is the last week Geoffrey Beene is open (they close their doors on Sunday, Jan 11th). Everything is $4.99 with the exception of some ladies dresses and dress pants which are discounted 80%. The employees did not know if things would be marked down further. There are still 2 walls of clothing left and my guess is that things could get marked down over the next few days. I was told I would have to check back on a daily basis for further mark downs (717-533-4431). Their selection is very limited at this point, but I was still able to find a few items. So if you're at the outlets, know that there are only a few days left to hit Geoffrey Beene.

Coupons in the paper today!

There are TONS of coupons in the Sunday paper today. I am planning to get 2 more at the gas station tomorrow (it's that good :) If you don't normally get the Sunday paper, it's well worth the effort and pocket change to get one (or 2). I'll look through it in detail tomorrow. I'll post specifics in a couple of days.
Also, we got a notice that the cost of the Sunday paper is now going to be $2.00 instead of $1.75 each.

Looking for Carpet

We're looking for large carpet scarps for Primary since we're meeting in the gym--the carpet pieces really help dull the extra noise. Our primary so large now that we need some more pieces. If you have some or know of where we can get some, PLEASE let me know!

A girls dresser, it is a vintage cream with that gold accent...I think it would be cute painted but never got around to it. The top is a bit loose but it can be fixed. I also have the nightstand but we are still using it, but you can have it when we move in six months.

A bag of size 5 boys clothing, all in great shape.

A bag of girl's clothing size Newborn and up to maybe size 2, we have too much to keep it all.
