I am looking for a few of them so if anyone has any that I can have or know of a place that I can get them please let me know. Thanks!!!

One free, brand new, never opened DVD for any takers!

Disney World for a Pauper

Hello-
My family is thinking about going to Orlando to Disney World. We will be driving down, so airfare isn't an issue.

We are trying to figure out the best way to do it all. Rooms, Dinning, the theme parks.
To be honest, I have no idea where to begin. Everything seems all lumped together in strange ways on their website.
Can anyone give me suggestions that has been to Disney fairly recent?
What were the good deals? What did you love or hate about your choices (dinning options, hotels, etc..)? Any good websites or planning websites you know of ?
Because we will have our own transportation, any suggestions for outside the park lodging is nice too.
(I do know about the Give a Day-Get a Day promo, so that is in play here, thanks.)

Basically, I'm looking for the best, cheapest (or most reasonable) way to enjoy a few days, without blowing thousands and thousands to see Mickey and Woody.- Any tips would be helpful. Thanks!

Computer Repair suggestions

Does any know of a good place to get your computer fixed? In the past I used a place near the Wal-Mart in Harrisburg, but now that I'm in Palmyra, I was wondering if there was something closer. (And preferably won't lose my hard drive like Jen Poulson). Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Looking for Wells Hot Yoga Coupon

A friend of mine is looking for a paritcular Yoga Class coupon. She describes it in her message below. Has anyone seen this and know where I can find a copy?
---------------------------------
This past weekend I took this awesome yoga class at Wells Hot Yoga in Hershey (on Hershey E-town Road). They let me take the first class for free to see if I liked it- I love it! They sell various packages, I’m just looking to take it once a weekend, and paying advance for a bunch of classes saves over paying individually for classes. When I signed in at the desk I noticed they had an 8.5x11 add from a coupon magazine that said, one coupon per person. It was for the studio and had a 20% first time purchase of multiple class packages. It was a white page with red trim, the coupon was a little rectangle in the middle and it had a picture of the woman who owns the studio on it. I haven’t seen the coupon but I’m hoping to find one in the next week before I return as an actual paying client.

If you see one please let me know.

Thanks.

Cooking With Food Storage Links

Thanks for all the wonderful information on cooking with food storage we got last week! It was a fabulous activity.

For those of us who couldn't attend or who are like me and prefer to click on links rather than type in addresses (so lazy, huh?), here are all the links to food storage/self-reliance websites that Cheryl recommended.

I'll post these in two separate posts, so look for another one later.

Tempt Yourself

I almost didn't post this but thought I would be doing you a big favor by doing so. Here it goes. I had a lunch date today and had the best food I've eaten in the area so far. I highly recommend you do what we did. When gift certificates are 80% off at restaurant.com, get a $25 gift certificate to Mangia Qui in Harrisburg. You'll have to spend a minimum of $35 but it will allow you to order 4 entrees! We had filet mignon, mahi mahi, tuna steak and fresh shrimp. It was magnificent. We devoured every single bite and left very happy. Four entrees will cost you $21 but it includes tax and tip since they automatically charge you a certain percentage for the tip since you're using a gift certificate. Tempt yourself by checking out the menu. Annie recommends the tapas bar upstairs. You know she has good taste!

P.S. Let me remind you that it costs two adults about $20 to eat burgers at Fuddruckers!

Scrapbook & Stamps

A friend gave us some scrapbooking supplies we can't use. Can anyone use them? You can see that the stamps are in a really nice box.

Dehumidifier and binders and preach my gospel

I everyone, I have a used dehumidifier up for grabs if anyone wants it.  The Hintze's gave it to us when we flooded our house and it works great...but its a little noisy (not too bad!).

I also have some binders if anyone wants them.

2- 1 inch
3- 1 1/2 inch
1- 2 1/2 inch

I have 2 extra copies of "Preach My Gospel" is anyone wants them

Let me know if you are interested.

two things

Hi, I'm new here.
Just a few things. Since it is the season of RSV (okay maybe it is mostly over.) I just wanted to tell anyone dealing with the fun that we have a nebulizer. We have had more than a few bouts with the sickness and so we had to purchase one. If anyone needs to borrow it we would be more than happy to share.

Also, I have had a few people ask me about making their blog into a book. I have made two through blurb and I love them. It is rather simple but there are a few tricks that I have learned and I would be happy to pass them along. If there is interest, I would be more than happy to do a little instruction at my house some time. Either give me a call or send me an e-mail childsongbird@yahoo.com. Thanks.

Blog Clean-UP

I clicked on the blog links on the left and noticed that two of them are no longer operational. 'Being Frugal is Fabulous' is one of them and I can't remember the name of the other, but she hasn't posted since November, I think. Anyway, thought I would let everyone know...and then ask the person who is ultimately in charge of this blog to delete the non-functioning blogs.

Thanks!
Alexis

Zumba Love

Ok, so I havent posted anything about Zumba, as to not seem to promote myself or my place of business. However, since there are many looking for exercise opportunities, I will put the info up here. My class is at

Family Athletic Center of Hershey- RT 743, next to Hershey Gymnastics Center (3003 Elizabethtown Road).
Saturdays 9am 4 Dollar drop in fee for non-members.
Child care is 1 dollar/per child.

Also try Golds Gym of Hershey, Zumba. They have many great instructors with a variety of styles and personalities. I love to work out with these instructors. They are fabulous! They have morning and evening classes. Child care is free (and packed with kids!?!)
They also offer a trial card to come and try it, free. Ask the front desk upon arrival. Please Note, Evening classes are packed full. You must arrive early and sign up at the front desk for a spot (limit is 75. Wed night is the busiest night so be there early).
Evening class times are
Monday- 6:30 Tuesday- 6:30 Wed- 5:30 Friday- 5:15

Check out the rest of their schedule, including morning classes online at goldsgym.com

Bumbo

Does anyone have a Bumbo I can try out? My mom swears it will change my life. I am skeptical but would like to try one out. I've gone through way too many baby gadgets that my kids hate to just run out and get one. If indeed it changes my life I'm happy to go out and get my own.

Great Bargains at Lands End

My spring catalog came in the mail and I told Paul how cute and feminine a lot of things have become this season and that the models they're using appear much younger than ever before. He said I'm getting older. I thought that was pretty hilarious.

Land's End is offering 20% off your entire purchase plus free shipping if you use the promo code save20 and the pin 3059. If you go into the overstocks department you can find lots of great bargains. I thought I'd mention the swimmini (swim skirt)that you can get for less than 10 bucks. Some come with swim bottoms attached so you can mix and match tops. They even have a few tops on sale, one of which is less than 10 bucks. I got a swimmini last summer out of necessity. I just knew it was time! They have great shoes on clearance I can testify they're very comfortable.
Just thought I'd let you know!

Food Storage Indoor Play Idea

Here's a fun indoor activity for the kids since they are home AND it uses our FOOD STORAGE! This will be among the recipes that I have prepared for our RS Food Storage night coming up this Wednesday, Feb. 17...

Cookie Clay Dough - like play-doh but you can cook and eat it!

In a mixer, cream together:
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 C butter
1 t vanilla

Then add:
2 C whole wheat flour (white or any combination can also be used)
2 T dry egg powder or 1 large egg (can substitute 1/4 C applesauce or 1/2 mashed banana or 2 t baking powder and 2 T water--the idea is to use what you have)
1 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/2 t cinnamon

If you use dehydrated eggs then mix and slowly add 2 - 4 T water til it is the consistancy of play-doh.

Then you need:
clean hands
table or counter top
creativity
can use cookie cutters or washed and cleaned play-doh accessaries

Place on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake 350 for 10 - 15 minutes, depending on thickness you may need to keep your eye on it!
Germs will be killed by high oven temps! :)

Cool 3 minutes and EAT!
Enjoy!

Hair cuts?

Just wondering where the lovely ladies of Hershey go to get their hair cut, colored, etc. Who do you like and who is a good deal?

Anyone need to get out and Exercise?

I thoroughly enjoyed the recent Relief Society Zumba gathering, both socially and physically. It combined two things that I love and need, but don't take or make time to do. And now that Mr. Winter keeps reminding us that Spring is not just around the corner, sometimes cabin fever can set in (don't get me wrong, I LOVE the snow - but it's not like I can go out snowshoeing or snowboarding like I did back in the single days). I came up with an idea that I hope some of you would like join me in.
The point: What if we gathered on a weekly or biweekly basis to exercise together and let our kids have a play date? The ideal location would be the gym at church. We can exercise while the kids played there in the gym with balls, toys, etc. As far as the exercise routine goes, that's not my strong point, so either someone with talent could teach us a routine like Zumba, or we could break out the 80's aerobics videos (that I know some of you have!) and get a good laugh out of it as well.
I was thinking in the mornings, like 9 or 10 - either a Tuesday or Thursday. I know the church seems far away for some (me included), so that's why maybe the biweekly idea would help. There was mention of using other locations like the Briarcrest Commons area, although I've never seen it, so don't know how big it is or how conducive it will be for our needs. If we do it at the church, we'll need someone with a key....
Anyway tell me what you think, if you're interested, and any ideas. This is for anyone and everyone, so spread the word.
Phew! That was long. I must be stuck indoors without adult conversation.... :)

Baby Food

I don't know why I've waited this long to get rid of this stuff. Caleb didn't even eat baby food, he kind of skipped that step. Most of it expires by March. I have about 17 containers, all Gerber, mostly fuit. Any takers?

Baby Food and Contact Solution

I am cleaning out my house and I have 10 jars of Gerber baby food (meats) that Ethan won't eat.  Does anyone want them??  There are 5 Chicken and Gravy, 3 Beef and Gravy, 1 Ham and Gravy and 1 Turkey and Gravy.  Also I have 12 fl oz. AMO Multi-Purpose Contact Solution.  I bought it this week during my Rite Aid Game purchase but it's for Soft Contact Lenses and I wear Gas Permeable.  It's unopened (but I did take out the lens case that came with it) and unused.  If anyone want this too let me know - contact solution can be expensive!

Tomato cages and support poles

I have 2 small tomato cages (round and tapered at bottom) that are free to whomever would like them. They are great for small tomato plants or pepper plants. I also have 2 green colored plastic poles or sticks to use with them as support.
