As always, I cannot return items without finding new items to purchase!! They had Captain Jack Sparrow costumes for $6.00 which I figured my nephews HAD to have (they have sizes 2/3 and 4). When I mentioned to the lady at the register that shipping would cost more than the costumes, she said they'd ship them for $6.95 which is less than USPS (good to know!).

The 5.00 t-shirts were 40% off which takes them down to about 3.00.

I wasn't in the shopping mood but 40% off clearance isn't too shabby.

Sharp Shopper

For those of you who are not familar with Sharp Shopper of Middletown, its time to check it out. Sharp Shopper is a grocery outlet. Its a great place to stock up on things that are eaten quickly in your home. I usually go there for fruit snacks, cookies, treats, canned foods, pasta sauce,condiments, etc. I was there this week and some of the great deals that caught my eye were in their cereal section. They had a HUGE variety of name brand cereals for 1.49 per box. Also, they had palets full of varieties of MOTHERS brand cookies, Poptarts, Welches juices and PACE'S salsas. Large size bottles of V8 Splash were 1.49. And large bottles of Hidden Valley Ranch were 79 cents. Things change their very quickly, but I have found that they always have a great selection of things you use daily for cheap prices.

Old Navy - Big Clearance Sale

I went to Old Navy yesterday to use my $5 Funny Schmoney. Turns out, their clearance items were another 50% off beginning yesterday! One example: Select styles of mens jeans/khakis are $6.99! With the extra 50% off right now, that makes them $3.50!!!!

Here is what I scored yesterday (all except for the child):
Two pairs of mens jeans
One pair of mens fleece sweatpants
One pair of socks for the girls
And I added 2 sports balls for gifts for my nephews. They were on sale for $2 each.

With 3 of the $5 Funny Schmoney, my Grand Total was: $4.02!!

The clearance sale should still be going on, you may have to dig through some things, but it's worth a look.

I could have kicked myself for not using the one last week. I didn't think I needed anything worth $20.... Hello?!?!?! Diapers!

Babies R Us - Diaper Deal!

I can't find which blog I originally read this on (one of the ones to the left), but I went and got this deal today:

Buy any 3 Value pack boxes of Pampers Diapers or Wipes and get a $15 Babies R Us Gift Certificate. I also used the $5 off any box of Huggies/Pampers Diapers coupon which I received in the mail this week from Babies R Us. (You don't need a coupon for each box, one coupon will work for all). I combined this with the $1/1 Pampers Coupons from last week's P&G. SO... I got $6 off each box in front-end coupons and an additional $5/box if you factor in the gift card!

This is based on the number of diapers in a Size 3 Box. There are fewer diapers in the size 4 and 5 boxes (making the price per diaper more) and more diapers in the size 1 and 2 boxes (making the ppd less).

Price: $40.67 for 204
-$5 BRU Coupon
-$1 P&G Coupon
-$5 Gift Card
= $29.67 for 204 diapers OR $0.145 per DIAPER!!

If you aren't familiar with size 3 prices, the cheapest price per diaper (any brand) at Costco .... even on sale when the Costco coupons come out .... is $0.17 cents per diaper!!!!!

(PS The cheapy cheapy cheapy brand at Giant are $0.16 per diaper.)

The Gift Card activates 6 hours after your purchase. You can also do this same deal at Toys R Us. Some may have better supplemental coupons ($1.50/1, etc.) which would even make this a better deal. I saw one blogger do this once at Babies R Us, take her $15 gift card to Toys the next day and do it over again, using that gift card. I don't have the space for 6 boxes of diapers though. Anyone want to forward this blog to Nadya Suleman?

Rite Aid - $8.03 PROFIT!

Sorry this is late in the week. ..

SCR #43: Buy any three Bayer Consumer items or Bayer Diabetes Items and receive a $10 RA Gift Card by mail.
So, this week, I bought 3 bottles of 24 ct. Bayer aspirin sale priced at $1.99 per bottle. I used three $1/1 coupons clipped from the Sunday papers. I paid $2.97 for three bottles of aspirin and will get a $10 gift card for a $7.03 PROFIT!

Garnier styling products are on sale for $2.99 with a $2.99 SCR. I used my $1/1 coupon from Sunday's paper for a $1 PROFIT.
PS The Garnier may not be found in the regular spot in Hershey. When I went, they had none left on the normal shelf (with the rebate stickers), but I did find some on an end-cap farther back. Just match the UPCs with those on the Rebate stickers up front to be sure you are getting the correct product.

Old Navy $5 Coupon

You can go to Old Navy tomorrow and get one $5 off coupon per child. It is their Funny Schmoney promotion. Money Saving Mom posted this on her blog and noted that your child is supposed to receive a Valentine Day card, color it, and bring it back for the coupon. I went in today, couldn't remember any of the details, told the cashier that I had read about a $5 coupon and she handed me two $5 off coupons! There is no spending minimum. However, it can ONLY be used on Saturday February 14!

No such thing as a free lunch, eh?

Gymboree President's Day Sale

Ok, here's the scoop. The Tulip line and Submarine line got marked to 40%off. The snowflake line got marked down even more as did a couple pieces from the cupcake line. Here's the Big Sale Part: any item of clothing that came into the store prior to the snowflake line is $4.99. That includes dresses, pants, shirts, pjs, coats...etc. Boys shoes (and sizes 9, 10, 1, 2 are left ) will be $4.99...really cute shoes! I think they will try and hard mark all the prices, but just ask the ladies if you like it if it's on promotion for that price. Also--you can ask if anything summery is in the back. I know they didn't pull stuff from the back that was like that b/c they want to clear winter and fall stuff, but I know they have some summer stuff. I work on Friday from 10-3 and Saturday from 5:30-9:30...if you want some extra nice help! Any questions, just ask!

Last night, I went to cash in on Camie's GM Cereal deal at Giant.... and they didn't give me my $4 off!!!! Over the last month, I have found $11 worth of incorrect pricing and/or coupon problems. If you are not in the habit, remember to ALWAYS check your receipts. I have to admit, that when I have the kids, the last thing I want to do is stay in the store 5 seconds longer, but do it!
